is an 18 year old mom considered to be a teen mom?? asked by Anonymous

That’s tricky.. eighteen is legally an adult but there’s the still the -teen, so i guess it depends on what the eighteen year old considers herself to be.

i say things like “no one cares about me”, “i hate myself” and “i want to die.” i say those things to get attention and it usually works. people ask me if i’m okay and they treat me like i’m the most precious little thing, like i’m worth something. i guess i’m what you would call an attention…

I’m making a ‘They Care’ page. Reblog if you want your url included. Only reblog if you actually care and would help someone if they came to you.

Okay first of all, I don’t appreciate you coming into my ask box to be rude and discourteous. You know absolutely nothing about me, my values, or my life. If this is your way to make me see the light, you’ve failed incredibly and, if anything, just made me less open to the idea of embracing a pro-life stance. I’m going to start this and run the risk of repeating myself, which I’m trying really hard not to do.

So, from the beginning. Yes, I do know the tolls pregnancy can have on someone even if I’ve never and will never experience it for myself. I have a seven, five and 2 and a half year old siblings and was there with my mom, when not in college, for all of it. I’ve seen what she had to go through, being older and pregnant, and was the one there, holding her hand (and leg) in the doctor’s office (and hospital) for all three.

You bringing up symptoms of pregnancy as a reason to not be pregnant is a terrible reason to be pro-choice. Every we do in life comes with risks and unpleasant situations, and if we stopped doing things because of the risk factors, nothing would get done.

I study sociology and psychology, so yes, I do know the stresses of pregnancy. Yes I do know what adoption can do to people. Yes I do know about Roe v. Wade, probably more than you do about it if we’re being honest. I know the history of at-home abortions, I know the risks of pregnancy and I know what I’m talking about.

If you’re done throwing disjointed, aggressive questions at me, I’ll talk now. As I’ve stated before and today, numerous times, I’m pro-responsibility. I’m not going to argue about when life starts and what constitutes a human being, that’s not a debate I’m interested in having. When you’re pregnant, there is the possibility of life, a miracle really. And as a decent human being, you have an obligation (without extenuating circumstances mentioned before) to take responsibility for the life you have made possible. Sex is fun and of all that jazz, but be responsible, wrap it up or take pills, or whatever it is you’d prefer. All of that which most of us can get free from a place like PP, but I’m not getting into the privilege / availability thing, because I’m already having that conversation.

Also, if you’ve read anything I’ve written besides what you wanted to see, you would know that I support the legalization of abortion and don’t believe women should have to hide what they’re doing or go somewhere dangerous for the procedure.

How about you jump off of my dick and your high horse, and go take up whatever deep-seated anger and aggression you have somewhere else. I won’t be answering anything else you try to shove down my throat in my ask box, and hope you have a nice day/life.
